Awhile back I was challenged by an instructor and mentor to start writing my experiences and challenges down in blog format. I am not an expert, and still feel like what I am writing could be better articulated by others very easily. Some of the stuff I write about is newbie stuff, because, in many parts of Information Security I am still a newb.
When I presented him with that argument about why I shouldn’t blog, he shared a simple philosophy: If you were challenged with it, then there is probably someone, somewhere, who is facing the exact same challenge. In other words, “If not you, then who; if not now, then when?”
So, if you are reading this blog, and find mishaps, technical inaccuracies, or just wonder ‘why in the world someone would someone publish something so simple!?’, well, we’re all learning.
